The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Tompkins Town Board was called to order at 7:02 pm in the Town meeting room, Trout Creek, NY with Peggy Backus leading in the Flag salute.

On motion by Peggy Backus, seconded by Howard Buttel, it was moved to approve the Meeting Minutes for April 14, 2026.

RESOLUTION # 46-2026 ABSTRACT OF CLAIMS
On motion by Peggy Backus, seconded by Brian Albanese, it was moved to approve the Abstract of Claims for April as follows: General Fund: #95-112 $11,504.98
Highway Fund: #92-102 $26,004.58
Sewer: #15 $300.67

RESOLUTION # 47-2026 TOWN CLERK’S MONTHLY REPORT
On motion by Brian Albanese, seconded by Howard Buttel, it was moved to receive, and place on file the Town Clerks, monthly report for April.

RESOLUTION # 48-2026 SUPERVISOR MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT
On motion by Brian Albanese, seconded by Howard Buttel, it was moved to approve and place on file the Supervisor’s monthly financial reports as of April.

RESOLUTION # 49-2026 SEWER DISTRICT MONTHLY REPORT
On motion by Brian Albanese, seconded by Peggy Backus, it was moved to approve and place on file the April monthly report for the sewer district.

CODE OFFICER: Monthly report provided
TOWN CLERK:
Met with Delaware County Treasurer office on Wednesday May 13,2026 at 1:30pm to turn all the unpaid taxes and pay the remainder of my tax warrant for 2026. Passed out information on General Municipal Law Section 300 Municipal websites. Ronda Williams Deputy town Clerk going to get a quote from Gibson Hill out of Franklin, NY on a.gov website and email addresses.
HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT:
Ron advised they have worked roads on Readburn, Carcass Brook, and Roods Creek. Shaving shoulders on Bullick Hill and Castle View Road. Hauling gravel from Afton. Working on equipment. Two positions needed for summer help. Truck is out to Lakeville getting equipment installed. Would like to schedule to order another cab and chassis. Beaver problem on Tower Mountain. Dexter Backus has trapped beavers.
SUPERVISOR:
Disposed of old printer and copier. Nominated James Ellis Meredith, NY, Allen Hinkley Roxbury, NY, and John Kosher Stamford, NY for the Catskill Watershed Corporation Board of Directors Election of member. Results will be announced July 14, 2026. Working on permit at fire tower.
