The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Tompkins Town Board was called to order at 7:00 pm in the Town meeting room, Trout Creek, NY. With Tim LaTourette leading in the Flag salute.

RESOLUTION # 35 APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Buttel, seconded by LaTourette approving the minutes of the regular meeting for May 12, 2020
All in Favor – Motion Carried.
RESOLUTION # 36 ABSTRACT OF CLAIMS
On motion by Backus, seconded by Buttel, it was moved to approve the Abstract of Claims for June 9, 2020 as follows:
General Fund: $13,874.33
Highway Fund: $71,755.13

RESOLUTION # 37 TOWN CLERK
On Motion by Buttel, seconded by Layton it was moved to receive, approve and place on file the Town Clerks May 2020 monthly report.

RESOLUTION # 38 SUPERVISOR REPORT
On motion by Buttel seconded by Backus, it was moved to approve and place on file the supervisor’s monthly financial reports as of 5/31/2020 dated 6/9/2020.

RESOLUTION # 39 SEWER DISTRICT ABSTRACT OF CLAIMS
On motion by LaTourette, seconded by Buttel to approve the sewer districts Abstract of Claims for June 9, 2020 as follows $6,980.95

RESOLUTION # 40 SEWER DISTRICT FINACIAL
A motion was made by LaTourette seconded by Buttel it was moved to approve and place on file the sewer districts monthly financial report as of 5/31/2020 dated 6/9/2020.

OLD BUSINESS:
– Resolution #41- 2020, DECLARING TOWN OF TOMPKINS TAX MAP #369.-1-21 SURPLUS PROPERTY THAT IS SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM
On a motion by LaTourette seconded by Buttel the Town of Tompkins Town Board hereby approves the following resolution.
WHEREAS, the Town of Tompkins acquired a parcel of land Tax Map 369.-1-21 located on 8586 County Highway 67 in the Town of Tompkins, and
WHEREAS, it is no longer necessary for the Town of Tompkins to retain said property, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Tompkins, in regular session duly convened, does hereby authorize and direct the Town Supervisor of said Town to execute and advertise the sale of property Tax Map 369.-1-21 located on 8586 County Highway 67 in the Town of Tompkins that is subject to permissive referendum as permitted by law.

Highway Superintendent –
1. Ron has been sent the posting my NYS DOT about Chips funding for 2020. This year’s funding could be reduced up to 20% so they will reimburse no less then 80% of allocations. We are allocated about $166,000 for chips and $37,835.33 for Pave NY.
Ron stated they have a tentative date to start Tower mountain with the pug mill on June 15,2020
2. Working Roads, Hauling Gravel, Cutting Brush
3. Received about 200 loads of grindings for use on roads.
4. Some of the roads have received the calcium chloride on them
5. Having an issue with a resident putting up cones on the Chamberlin brook road, Ron is afraid if people hit the cones and damage their vehicles it will come back on the Town.
6. Al has been out mowing and hasn’t been having luck with the equipment, He got a fence wire that was thrown in the ditch caught up in the mower.
7. May have to crush more gravel
8. Helped the County with the Athey Machine
9. Sold the 2006 for $25,000
10. Sold 4 tires for $1,400
11. The 2020, 1 ton has been delivered, Ron was not happy with the control handle to run the plow and its not what he asked for. The never called to confirm delivery and no one was at the shop when they came. Just by chance someone drove by and see then sitting there and contacted Ron.
12. Would like to make airport road a seasonal road, no one is living on the road.
Supervisor –
1. Cleaning company has gone out of business and when asked for recommendations they stated they knew no one that carried the insurance. So, we will have to do the cleaning of the buildings our self.
2. Summer helps starts tomorrow and it’s the same students that were here last year.
