The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Tompkins Town Board was called to order at 7:00 pm in the Town meeting room, Trout Creek, NY. With Howie Buttel leading in the Flag salute.

Present:

Minutes Approval:
On motion by Buttel, seconded by Backus, it was moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting for July 9, 2019
Vote: All Ayes

Abstract of Claims
On motion by LaTourette, seconded by Buttel, it was moved to approve the Abstract of Claims for August 20, 2019 as follows:
General Fund: $9,881.87
Highway Fund: $83,800.51
Vote: All AYEs – Motion carried.

Monthly Financial Reports:
Town Clerk:
On motion by Backus, seconded by LaTourette, it was moved to receive, approve and place on file the Town Clerk monthly report for July 2019.
Vote: All AYEs – Motion carried.

Supervisor’s Financial Report:
On motion by Backus seconded by Buttel, it was moved to approve and place on file the supervisor’s monthly financial report as of 7/31/2019 dated August 20, 2019.
Vote: All AYEs – Motion carried.

Sewer District Reports
On motion by Layton, seconded by Backus to approve the Abstract of Claims dated August 20, 2019 for the sewer district in the amount of $2622.25.
Vote – All Ayes – motion carried

On Motion by Backus, seconded by LaTourette it was moved to approve the Trout Creek Sewer District, Monthly Financial Report dated 7/31/2019
Vote – All Ayes – Motion Carried

Sewer district workers report – Provided

Planning Board – None

Assessor – Provided.

Dog Control officer – none

Highway Superintendent
1. Ron questioned if the board seen the specs for the truck he wants to put out to bid. The board agreed to go ahead and put the truck out to bid. Bids will be received up to Oct 2 at 12:00 and opened publicly in the Town clerk’s office at 12:30 Oct 2nd. Bids will be awarded at the next board meeting held on October 8, 2019.
2. Roads are ready to be sealed
3. Small clean up from wind storm
4. Been out hauling gravel, working on equipment, done pot hole work, Helped other towns.
5. Summer help is done
6. Gretchen will be done after this week.
7. Ron stated the break room cooler is not working and questioned if the Town would buy then another one. Ron will get prices and bring them back to the board.

Supervisor
1. There was no petition to deny the selling of the small piece of property by the white barn. We will see what our next step is and proceed. We must ask for the FMV of the property per Municipal law.
2. 4-H camp is done and we received the bill in the amount of $3233.00 and we have sent 15 children from the Town of Tompkins to camp this year.
3. Bill is looking into switching the Town over to Delhi Tel and will come back with prices and information.

Correspondence – Received a thank you card from Delanie and Richelle Wood thanking the Town for sending them to 4-H camp.
