The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Tompkins Town Board was called to order at 6:00 pm in the Town meeting room, Trout Creek, NY. With Peggy Backus leading in the Flag salute.

Minutes Approval:
On motion by LaTourette, seconded by Albanese, it was moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting for December 10, 2018
Vote: All Ayes
Motion Carried.
Abstract of Claims:
On motion by LaTourette, seconded by Backus, it was moved to approve the Abstract of Claims for January 14, 2019 as follows: General Fund: $35,254.03 Highway Fund: $60,991.10
Vote: All AYEs – Motion carried.
Monthly Financial Reports:
Town Clerk:
On motion by Backus, seconded by Albanese, it was moved to receive, approve and place on file the Town Clerk monthly report for December 2018.
Vote: All AYEs – Motion carried.
Supervisor’s Report:
On motion by Albanese seconded by Buttel, it was moved to approve and place on file the supervisor’s monthly financial report as the Annual Financial Audit dated 12/31/2018 dated January 14, 2019.

Highway Superintendent
1. Taking care of roads
2. Had some repairs
3. Ron questioned if it was still okay to help out the farmers, by putting down grit in their barn driveways so the milk trucks can get in to pick up the milk during the winter months. The board stated they see no issues with that and it could continue to be done, due to it assisting and helping then stay in business in the Town of Tompkins.
4. We have the massey tore apart due to it breaking down.
5. Ron asked the board if he could order a 2020 international. Albanese stated that at December’s meeting there was a motion that was passed that the truck needed to be put out to bid.
Dog Control Officer – Still looking for a DCO.
Supervisor –
1. There is a grant being looked into to get the fire tower fixed.
2. Nancy stated that Carl will update and maintain the website in 2019 if the Board wanted. The site is going to be an additional $10 a year.
On motion by Albanese, seconded by Buttel if was approved to have Carl Stuendel keep the website open and to approve the increase fee of $10 a year to remove adds on the site.

Sewer District:
On motion by Backus, seconded by Buttel to approve the Abstract of Claims dated January 14, 2019 for the sewer district in the amount of $4334.56

On Motion by Albanese, seconded by Buttel it was moved to approve the Trout Creek Sewer District Financial Report for the month of December, Dated 1/14/2018

The water filter has been installed at the schoolhouse.
Albanese stated that we should ask the reporter to come see the improvements on the schoolhouse and all that the committee has done.
Layton spoke with Tim Bennett again to see if there was any news on how the community felt about taking over the Kelsey house. Tim stated he hasn’t heard anything yet.
Albanese stated he received a post card in the mail from DTC and if you want you can go to their site and sign up to get hooked up when they start doing hookups.
