Bill looked into placing a play set on the school house property and didn’t realize that it could be in the way of digging up the time capsule in 6 years, Bill didn’t realize it was as large as it was until he viewed pictures. A Backhoe will need to be brought in to dig it up. Upon further discussion the Board didn’t feel it was in their best interest to move the picnic table to another location because it was set up as a memorial for a Town resident. Also, the removal of the old swing set takes away from the historical value of the property. There was also the discussion as to which who would be responsible for the new piece of equipment years on down the road. And to what requirements would have to be addressed with the insurance company for “safety issues”. At this time the Board does not feel it would be in their best interest to place a play set on the school house property.
